Graduate Certificate Programs

Professional Certificate Programs
The College also offers professional certificates in the following areas:
Lean Systems / Six Sigma Certificate
This certificate program helps professionals gain valuable management skills, which can be used immediately to achieve outstanding organizational performance. Students learn how to apply ‘Lean/Six Sigma’ techniques to attack organizational inefficiencies and develop continuous process improvements.
FIU – Construction Training Qualification Program.
Training and examinations in concrete, asphalt, aggregate, earthwork, geotechnical, quality control management, and structures and grouting for qualification and certification under the Florida Department of Transportation CTQP.
Sustainable Construction Certificate Program
This six-course, interdisciplinary Professional Certificate offers both traditional students and practicing professionals a unique learning experience that enhances their design and management capabilities in the emerging field of sustainable building design and construction.
Professional licensure reviews
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Review:
A team-taught twelve-week course offered twice a year in Fall and Spring by the Civil and Environmental Engineering faculty, and open to professionals interested in taking the first step toward their licensure by taking the Fundamentals of Engineering examination.
Professional Engineering (PE) Review:
A team-taught ten-week course offered on Saturdays by the Civil and Environmental Engineering faculty, and open to professionals interested in obtaining their professional engineering (PE) license.
