Prospective students seeking a graduate degree in the College must satisfy all university admission requirements as well as the specific program requirements. Each department evaluates candidates for admission to its programs. A student seeking admission into a graduate program offered by the University must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution or, in the case of foreign students, from a well established institution of higher learning that is authorized to grant degrees by appropriate authorities in that country. The minimum requirements for admission into the Master of Science program are:

	Completed Graduate Application and fee ($30). Apply Now
	Official transcripts from an accredited institution showing completion of a baccalaureate degree or higher, with a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (upper division)
	Three (3) letters of recommendation . At least two should be from professors. If currently working, one of them may be from your supervisor.
	A statement of objectives, clearly stating the intended concentration
	Curriculum Vitae / Résumé

You will be informed of the the final admission decision upon review of the completed application package and supporting documents by the Graduate School and the Faculty Committee of the academic department.

International Students

Application Deadlines
Due to time needed to process applications for admission, please submit your application and supporting documents (i.e. transcripts, evaluations of university coursework, tests, etc.) by the Priority Consideration deadline dates.

Florida Residents
To claim in-state tuition, you must provide copies of two of the following documents showing Florida residency for at least the last 12 months prior to the beginning of the semester:

Florida voter registration information

Florida driver's license or state ID

Florida vehicle registration information

You may also submit one of the documents above, accompanied by copies of at least two of the following documents:

Lease, rental or mortgage contract

Letter from utility company (Electric, telephone, cable, etc.)

Employment letter with current W-2 or W-4

Bank letter (indicating activity in account for 12 consecutive months)

Professional License

Current Florida Public School contract

In-state tuition receipt from another Florida State School (last 12 months)

Active Duty military orders

Warranty Deed

Declaration of Domicile

Non-Degree seeking students
A student is allowed to take classes as a non-degree seeking student while in the process of gaining acceptance into the graduate program they wish to pursue. The maximum amount of credits that may be later applied to the program is 12 (4 classes). To register as non-degree student click here

Immunization Policy
As a prerequisite to registration, Florida International University requires all students born after December 31, 1956 to present documented proof of immunity to measles (Rubeola) and German measles (Rubella). Immunization Documentation Form
