Federal
and State Financial Aid
The
federal and state governments are the
largest source of financial aid for domestic
students. International students are
not eligible for either federal or state
aid. Aid is available for graduate and
undergraduate students, and may be awarded
based on financial need and/or academic
accomplishment.

Scholarships
Federal Loans
Florida Pre-Paid Tuition program

To
apply for federal or state financial
aid, you must first complete and submit
the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid or FAFSA. You can complete the
FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. From
the information submitted, the U.S.
Department of Education determines
how much aid you should receive and
notifies the University. When applying,
use FIU institution code "009635".
Institutional
need-based aid

Graduate Fee Grants
Awarded
by the Financial Aid office to students
who have financial need. It pays up to
$2,500 per semester. In order to be considered,
students must complete a form at FIU's
Financial Aid office.Monies will be awarded
on a first-come, first-served basis.
International students are not eligible
for these awards. Students must be enrolled
on a full-time basis.
